How to install “Zombe’s ModPack” in Minecraft (Mac OS X)

 Hi there,

The following tutorial will show you how to install “Zombe’s Mod Pack” for the popular computer video game “Minecraft”

This should work on any Macintosh running a more recent version of Mac OS X.

In this tutorial I will show you how to enable the “flymod” only. Other mods CAN be enabled however! I personally don’t want to enable those, so I will keep it simple with JUST the “flymod”

Step 1: Close Minecraft completely. Failure to do so will void the installation of this mod.

Step 2: Navigate to the following webpage: [Click Here] (This is an ad supported webpage! Wait 5 seconds, and then select “SKIP AD” to get to the link!)
Scroll down until you see: Current vX.XX: Download link*.
*Note: If you do not have the most current version of Minecraft, then click the following link to find the newest version of Zombe’s Mod Pack for your specific Minecraft version. Link: [Click Here] (This is an ad supported webpage! Wait 5 seconds, and then select “SKIP AD” to get to the link!)

Download the file.

Step 3: Open the folder that you just downloaded.

Step 4: Go to your dock, and “Control-Click Finder” then select “New Finder Window”

Step 5: Select your username from the SideBar on the new window.

Step 6: Double click the folder “Library”

Step 7: Now Double-click the folder “Application Support”

Step 8: Scroll down in the new window, and Double-Click “minecraft”

Step 9: From the “Gear” drop-down menu, select “New Folder”

Step 10: Name the new folder “mods” and hit return.

Step 11: Double-click the new folder you created, and create another folder within this existing folder. Name it “zombe”, and hit return.

Step 12: Open the folder which you downloaded from the site earlier. (the one with the file name: “zombe’s_modpack” etc.)Drag and drop all files within the “config” folder into the “zombe” folder which you just created.

Step 13: Open config.txt, and then type Command-F. In this new window search for “fly”, and hit return. Alteratively, you can choose “Edit”, and then select “Find”, and finally “Find…”

Step 14: Remove the comment, and set the keys and speed settings as I do. Circled are where to change values!

Step 15: Press the “back” button on the folder “zombe” twice. It should bring you here:

Now, double-click the folder named “bin”

Step 16: Once inside this folder, you should see many “Executable Jar Files” with a file extension of “.jar”. Right-click the one named “Minecraft”, and select open with Archive Utility.
